'Goshpods goes Green!' is a new weekly podcast, focusing on the important issue of sustainability in health care. In series one, which will air over the next six weeks, we will be looking at the issue of climate change, how healthcare practices are contributing to this emergency, and discuss the small steps that all healthcare professionals can take on the road to instigating bigger changes within the NHS.
In the second episode, we are joined again by Dr Jonny Groome, the founder of GHASP (the Greener Healthcare and Sustainability Project). He is discussing how healthcare is contributing to the climate emergency, examining the carbon footprint of anaesthesia and surgery, and looking at what we could do to reduce this impact.
