Show Notes
We hear from two experts in the field, Emma Beeden and Rashaun Pacquette-Simpson, who have lived experience of health care, have worked in participation, and are involved as Young Advisors in the Me first project. This podcast explores the value of participation, what best practice looks like, and how we can embed participation more widely within our services.
Alongside working for Me first Emma is a student currently studying for a Masters in International Child Rights, and is a member of the Patient Liaison Group at the British Medical Association; a trustee of The National Children’s Bureau and was a lay member on the NICE Babies, Children and Young People’s Experience of Healthcare guideline.
Rashaun has worked in participation for many years in the NHS Youth Forum and Anna Freud Centre and works in Mental Health services for South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust (SLAM).
