Show Notes
Over the next few weeks on GOSHpods, we will be focussing on topics relating to anaesthesia and pain medicine.
In this first 2-part episode, I'm joined by Dr Helen Laycock, a consultant in pain medicine and anaesthetics at GOSH, who is going to be talking about acute pain in children. In this introduction to acute pain, we will cover the incidence and risk factors for pain in paediatric inpatients, as well as discuss some of the challenges of assessment and management of pain in our younger patients. An important topic for anyone involved in caring for children and young people in hospital!
